April 2025: Long Term Vision, Day-to-Day Focus
"Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow" - Robert Kiyosaki
What a month! With a turbulent stock market, fears of a potential recession, and no indication of interest rate relief due to the uncertainty with tariffs, there are more than enough issues for Americans to feel uneasy about with the current state of everything. But what can we do about it? If I look too far down the road, I tend to spiral and the next thing I know, the world’s coming to an end and my family and I are living out on the street in a post-apocalyptic, World War III like scenario being chased by zombies. No no, best not to go down that road. If I’m going long term, I should probably just focus on positives images like a fun trip or a summer barbeque just around the corner. Something that brings me joy rather than fear. Maybe day-to-day is the play? I don’t need to worry about how this year or the next few months are going to play out, but how can I best organize my week and focus on what I need to do each day. Have a long-term plan, but live one day at a time.
Fear into Gratitude
"When you are grateful, fear disappears, and abundance appears." - Anthony Robbins.
Life is a series of obstacles and good fortune. How you handle the obstacles is what prepares you for survival. We tend to learn more from failure than we do from success and sometimes what others might consider a failure was merely just the lesson connect the bridges. What we focus on expands so if you’re harping on a negative outcome, you’ll likely get negative results. If you shift that fear into gratitude, suddenly what’s been bringing you down really isn’t so bad. Always look at the bright side. Whenever you’re fearful about something, write it down and flip it to why you’re grateful for the challenge.
Killer Mindset = Killer Results
"Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you" - Lao Tzu
It’s all mindset these days that take constant, daily reminders on how to control our thoughts in order to create our desired outcomes. No small feat, but attainable! If you’re constantly hoping that the future will make you happy, you’ll miss all that’s right in front of you.
Cheers my everyone and happy beginning of May!
