March 2025: They Don’t Call It March Madness for Nothing

"March awakens the soul with the promise of new beginnings."

Times moves slow at the start of the year and then takes off in March. From here on out, the rest will only go by faster. It’s a wonderful time of year with beautiful weather and perfect temperatures. St. Patrick’s Day, March Madness, Golf, plus the Masters and Easter just around the corner. Spring is in there! There’s a feeling of coming out of hibernation, making plans, and seizing the day. With this newfound burst of energy and excitement, it’s easy to get caught up in the race and go until you can’t anymore. As of late, I’m trying to find time to slow myself down and work smart rather than feel like I’m constantly playing catch up.

Morning Routine

“Gratitude turns ordinary mornings into blessings”

It’s easy to jump into the deep end in the mornings right when you set up shop. You start firing off emails and drinking coffee because there’s never enough time in the day to get to everything you need and the never-ending to-do list keeps growing. At the start of the year, things were less hectic and I had more time to devote to my new morning routine. I’ve been mediating off and on for a while now and one of my goals for 2025 was to get back into it daily. You tend to react with a cooler head when you’ve spent some time in the Zenlike state to start off your day and seem to have more control of managing your. 15 minutes with the phone on airplane mode, set a timer, deep breaths, eyes closed, and relax. Then I’ve been spening 5 minutes of journaling from a mindset book called “Start With You.” In it, you make notes of your awareness, adjustments, 5 Intentions, daily affirmations, gratitude, prayer, and visualizations. The important stuff. Well, I got busy at the start of the month and this routine fell by the wayside and I let it go for a couple of weeks. I’m back to reprioritizing this week and am noticing a difference again. It’s a window that I look forward to everyday and can make a difference when we start off focusing on big picture and intentions rather than the short term leg work.

The Rites of Spring

"Spring work is going on with joyful enthusiasm."

-John Muir

One of the best times of the year, and it’s only going to get better. Rejuvenation, rebirth, and being outdoors again. Wishing you all a happy spring season!
