February 2025: So Long February, Hello Spring!

-"Cold winds can't freeze warm dreams"

Whoa now, that winter was a doozy! Living in Nashville, you really do get to experience all four seasons and surviving the winter months is something to be proud of. With the spring weather we’ve gotten this week, it certainly feels like we’ve crossed over to the other side and can start putting away those winter coats. After limited daylight, fewer social interactions, and lots of time indoors, we’ve all undoubtedly had plenty of time to reflect and dream about all good times ahead.

Laugh, Think, and Cry

“If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that’s a full day. That’s a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you’re going to have something special.”

-Jim Valvano

After surviving January and February in Middle TN, it’s safe to say we’ve all got the crying part down. But laughing and taking to be lost in thought every day is just as. Time flies and there are plenty of days where I feel like I’m constantly playing catchup and rarely can get to everything I was supposed to do. Being a first-year parent, I’m still adjusting to curveballs of taking a few days off of work to stay home with a sick baby when there’s so much to do in order to provide. It feels like God’s way shifting your focus to what’s actually important vs what we think is important when we’re in our daily routine. We may not get to everything on the to-do list, but rising to whatever challenges are thrown our way and carving out time to experience those emotions counts for a successful day.

Put Away Those Coats

Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘let’s party!”

-Robin Williams

Wishing everyone a glorious spring and hope you’re enjoying the beautiful weather!
